Common questions

Where did my file go? Manila does not save into a folder of its own. When a job finishes you press Save / share and Android's share sheet opens — pick Files, Drive, WhatsApp, or whatever you need. The file is written where that app puts it.

Does it work without internet? Yes. Every tool runs on the phone. Turn off mobile data and Wi-Fi and try it — only the subscription purchase needs a connection.

I paid but the PRO tools are still locked. Open Settings → Restore. That asks Google Play for your current purchases. If it still says nothing was found, check that you are signed in to Google Play with the same account you used to buy.

How do I cancel the subscription? Google Play app → your profile picture → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions → Manila → Cancel. Cancelling stops the renewal; PRO stays active until the end of the paid period.

Compress barely made my file smaller. Compression works by re-encoding the photos inside a PDF. A file that is mostly text and vector drawing has no photos to shrink, so there is little to gain. When that happens the app tells you so instead of pretending.

I redacted a page and now the text is not selectable there. That is the tool working correctly. A redacted page is rebuilt from an image so the covered words are gone from the file — not hidden under a black rectangle that a copy-paste would defeat. Pages you did not mark keep their selectable text.

I forgot the password I set. It cannot be recovered. AES-256 encryption has no back door, and we do not hold a key.

Remove password does not work on my file. That tool only removes a password you already know and type in. It does not break unknown passwords.
